Green Beauty Resolutions

The New Year always seems like a fresh start, a clean slate, time to do things differently. Sure, there are those who say it is just another day, but it is all in your very own perception. And I choose to think of it as a beginning. How about you?

So, of course, there are the resolutions. Becky shared a cool new angle on New Years resolutions on Monday with My One Word.  Do you have a word, or words, to guide you this year? Or Monica B had another view, a wish list. Love it!

Maybe you are less philosophical about your resolutions. Are you looking to get started with green beauty? Using lots of safe cosmetics but still struggling to replace your fave conventional shampoo, lipstick, deodorant… ? Let’s get those questions answered so you can add “Use Healthier Products” to your New Years resolution checklist. Simply leave a comment below with your question or concern and we will answer. Feel free to chime in with your own feelgood advice too.

My resolution for Feelgood Style for 2013 is more info on nontoxic cosmetics, more product reviews, and more hard hitting articles. We will have interviews, tips, and feelgood news on beauty, health, and fashion all year long. All for you!

Great idea! It seems more than a few companies advertise themselves as green but its difficult to find information on exactly what chemicals we should avoid and why. What are some of the the ingredients that should raise a red flag and why?

Hi Calli, You are right, there is alot of greenwashing in the cosmetics world, making it more difficult to be sure you are buying a safe product. A good place to start in identifying harmful cosmetic ingredients is our Ingredients to Avoid list (right hand side bar). You can also check mine out at Organic Beauty Source – http://www.organicbeautysource.com/ingredients-to-avoid. I will post a detailed article on choosing safe products soon. Thx!
