Product Review: Tangut Resvene Supplements

Tangut

I’m excited to introduce you to a company that I’ve been chatting with for the past few weeks. Tangut creates natural supplements, made in the USA with handpicked ingredients from their own, organic farm near the Tangut mountain of Tibet.

I’ve been taking their Resvene supplements for several days now, and will continue to do so throughout the holidays. I’ll be writing a second post on how I feel after taking the pills for a month. But, because the company informed me that many customers feel different after just a few days, I decided to do a post on the beginning of my trial period as well.

Resvene contains Resveratrol, which can also be found in grape skin (Red Wine) and dark chocolate. This natural ingredient is intended to boost collagen (the protein that keeps our skin structured and elastic) production, therefore strengthening the hair and nails. It also activates the longevity gene SIRT 1, prevents sun damage and enhances skin tone and texture.

“As it is a wholefood, all-natural supplement based on botanic extracts, you will feel a higher absorbency in your body and an improvement of the overall metabolism,” Tangut Representative Sonja Boesch told me. “Resvene moisturizes the skin from the inside, helps with wrinkles and dark areas around the eyes.”

I have been taking the supplements for a week, without changing my usual face washing methods or lotion. While what acne I started with has not been directly improved by Resvenue (if that is what you’re looking to get out of it) I have noticed that my face is staying more moisturized, and thus less irritated. Without changing my moisturizing methods or face wash, I have noticed that the same amount of moisturizer lasts longer, and that I have actually been able to experience softer, more moisturized skin with the same amount or less moisturizer. This has been a welcome surprise during New York’s cold weather over the past week, which usually chaps my skin and has a tendency to dry my face out.

I’ll be posting again after using Resveratrol for three more weeks, but, in the meantime, here’s a bit more about it from my Q and A with Sonja Boesch:

FGS: What is in it, and why?

TANGUT: Resvene contains 98% purest natural trans resveratrol. This is the only form of natural resveratrol. The main ingredients and plants of Tangut Resvene are the Polygonum Cuspidatum root, Oligo Proanthocyanidin from Chilean Wine and Quercetin. The combination of these plants guarantees the maximal absorption.

FGS: Why is natural anti-aging and cell-revival important? You hear a lot about these two things – why them?

TANGUT: Skin is often times exposed to many damaging factors of which the biggest one is the sun light. Through sun burn or extensive sun exposure, our skin can age quicker or develop sun spots. Research has shown that the body heals from the inside out and often times greater effects are achieved through an intake rather than a lotion. “Natural” in that sense describes the source. We have the choice of many synthetic vitamins that the body cannot absorb as well. Also a lot of times we don’t know where the ingredients come from. Taking a supplement that has an all-natural source, this is the healthier choice for your body because it is comparable to food (a “wholefood” supplement) and you know that it contains botanic extracts rather than chemicals. “All-natural” or “botanic” extracts is the new trend as customers request more information about source and more transparency about ingredients.

FGS: How is your formula different from other formulas?

TANGUT: Our product contains 98 % purest trans resveratrol, which is the highest and most potent concentration of natural resveratrol. This is just possible because our science team uses the so-called “Supercritical CO2 extraction method”. This extraction method prevents the ingredients from being damaged. Furthermore our source is unique on the US market, because we have our own farm in Tibet, where all our plants grow.

FGS: What difference should I notice as I use it?

TANGUT: Most of our clients describe a brightening of their skin already after the first days. They see improvement of hair structure and nails. Also, many have shared to feel more energized as it also helps with metabolism. It helps with sun spots and improves the overall skin texture.

FGS: You source your product, or your plants, from Tibetan Plateau – correct? Why?

TANGUT: Tangut is a research-based company that has over 20 years of experience in the health industry. They found the cleanest area to grow plants is the Tibetan Plateau. Tibet is considered Pollution-Free and there are just 4 (!) pollution-free areas in the world. The Sahara, the North Pole, the South Pole and Tibet. Tibet is therefore the only area where plants grow. It is a high altitude, upstream the river without pesticides, less population and no traffic. We own our farm in the Qinghai Province/ Qaidam Baisin.
