The Power of We, The Power of Our Wallets

power of we

Purchasing safe cosmetics and personal care products?  You are doing more than creating a healthier lifestyle for yourself, you know.  You are creating healthy changes in the world.

The way we spend our dollars tells cosmetics manufacturers what we want.  Our purchasing power affects change, calls out for action and casts our vote.  When you buy your nontoxic skin care, makeup, baby care, shampoo…you are telling the economic community that this is what you want on your store shelves.

Didn’t think of buying a bottle of lotion as being such a big deal?  Well, it is!  Each time you purchase safe products you are creating a demand for healthy ingredients, safer farming and production methods, recycling programs.  Each dollar spent on products made with organic ingredients tells cosmetics manufacturers, the multi-billion dollar cosmetic industry and even our government that we want more organic ingredients used.  And less harmful junky ones.

The first reason most people switch from toxic cosmetics to safer products is to a live a healthier lifestyle.  For themselves and their families.  An added bonus of using nontoxic products is that we are not flushing synthetic ingredients down our drains and into our earth.  But by continuing to buy safe cosmetic products we are making sure there will be more of them in the future, keeping these good things going and improving on them.

Spend wisely.  Use your purchasing power.  Take a vote.   Tell cosmetics and personal care manufacturers what you want.  We all have to buy stuff, let’s make it count.
