It seems like pretty much every city, region, state, or province is experiencing a heatwave this summer, and while I’m not complaining, nor am I wishing it would get cold, sometimes a girl just needs a quick break from the scorching heat. If sitting in air conditioning isn’t an option for you, there is a more natural fix that I think my fellow green queens may just love.

Introducing the DIY ‘Look Hawt, Stay Cool’ spray, and I don’t mean look hot and sweaty, I mean look hawt!

DIY Cooling Spray

When feeling a little flustered, sweaty, nervous, or just downright hot, get your DIY on and make a batch of this quick and easy naturally cooling spray that lasts up to three months, and most importantly, will help cool you down when you need it most.

Materials

  • clean, dry mist sprayer bottle
  • 3 tablespoons of natural aloe vera gel
  • 3 tablespoons of witch hazel
  • 5 drops of organic peppermint essential oil.

Directions

Combine all of your ingredients in the spray bottle, then shake it like a polaroid picture.

You can spray it directly onto your face, neck, wrists or on the soles of your feet anytime you are feeling a little hot and bothered. Well, not that kind of hot and bothered.

But I digress.

Once you mist yourself with your new concoction, let the breeze to blow over your skin to really keep yourself cool. Then simply store your bottle in a cool, dry, dark place for up to three months.
