Timmery Turner says her 1981 jewelry line makes three statements: “I’m here. I’m fun. I’m bold.”
More than that, her pieces are made from items that aren’t usually recycled. Turner makes many of her pieces from toys, and other found objects.

A festive show this past weekend with everyone in the studio plus a couple of extra green divas. When the sun starts setting early and temperatures drop, I want to brighten up my space with bold yet comfy accents. The problem with shopping at the big box store is that so much of the home decor items are made in sweatshops using less-than-eco materials. Who wants that in their living room?
I scoured Etsy to come up with some handmade home decor finds for winter that are eco-friendly to boot!
Hi there! I'm Becky Striepe, a green crafter and vegan foodie living in Atlanta, Georgia with my husband and two cats. My mission is to make eco-friendly crafts and vegan food accessible to anyone who wants to give them a go.
Founder/Editor of OrganicBeautySource.com online directory of nontoxic organic beauty products.
Safe cosmetics advocate, writer, researcher.
Mother of two little environmentalists who can already spot a toxic product when they see one.
I remember crafting when I was younger, but I didn't really start again until I was in my 20's. Now that I have, I can't imagine turning back! I live in Chicago, IL with my husband and 2 kitties. Embroidery is my top craft (at the moment) but I also love paper crafting, clay work, using power tools, and re-imagining ordinary thrift store finds into fun projects.

It took awhile to figure out where I was going to land, and how I was going to do it, but, post six transfers, 15 moves and five trips overseas, I decided to take my journalism degree out on a limb, and create a social enterprise that would not only open the doors for me to help Ugandan women struggling from the effects of AIDS and abuse, but would allow me to write about what I really care about: people.
