Launching Seed Bombs and Energy-Wise Landscapes

Silent Jessie launches seed bomb outside GD studio

Laugh, learn and listen to the Green Divas Radio Show & Podcast!

We had spring fever in the studio this week! Perhaps it was those awesome Seed Bombs we were sent to disburse liberally around the hood. We had a blast before the show and during our break taking turns launching seed bombs into the studio parking lot and surrounding roadside. See more about our adventures with seed bombs on the Green Divas blog.

Between seed bomb activities, we had a wonderful report from GD Lisa in Austin, TX. She had a few good spring cleaning tips and we talked a bit about vegan nut yogurts. yum.

Our feature interview was with the wonderful Sue Reed, author of the timely and informative, Energy-Wise Landscape Design. I had never really considered how terrible lawn mowing is for our carbon footprint. yikes! She talked about a lot of things that were very practical considerations for the landscapes we have or the ones we are dreaming of. Highly recommend checking out her book!

But, in the meantime, go to the Green Divas podcast page to listen!

NEXT WEEK’S FEATURED GUEST: 5.12.11: The Dark Ranger (aka Kevin Poe) Head Dark Ranger at Bryce Canyon National Park. If you would like to ask Kevin anything, please leave a message here or go to our facebook page.
