Five Homemade Face Masks Made From Grocery Store Finds

Pumpkins

5. Pumpkin Mask

Even though fall is still thankfully months away, you can still whip up a pumpkin mask using this recipe found on The Hip Yogini. Canned pumpkin, mixed with a few other ingredients, will make a mask that is full of zinc, beta carotene and vitamins. I would recommend substituting regular milk in the recipe with coconut milk for added moisture.

These recipes are simply a jumping off point to discovering what works best for you and your skin type. Here is a great list of grocery store ingredients and their usefulness, found on The Imam’s Daughter, so you can create your own special concoction.

Cool article! Thanks for posting different masks for different skin types. They sound kinda yummy, too! I was wondering…do you think that masks with fruits and more acidic ingredients are better for oily skin types or does that not really matter? Thanks!
