Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Perfumes

Do you wear fragrance?  I am not talking about your body lotion, oil, or hair product.  But a totally separate product just to smell yummy?

I love it, but must admit I do not always wear it.  First off, I am very scent-sensitive and many too-strong fragrances will give me an instant headache, even the natural variety.  Secondly, and no less importantly, conventional fragrances are synthetic cocktails that have been linked to such health issues as:  developmental and reproductive issues, potential endocrine disruption, skin irritation, immune system toxicant and allergies.  Not good.

A safe, healthy fragrance will get its aroma from a blend of essential oils.  One such lovely product is the new Burt’s Bees Solid Perfumes.  These little perfume balms are made of skin-hydrating oils (coconut, sweet almond) beeswax, and shea butter.  And, yes, the fragrance is a unique blend of essential oils.

There are four scents to choose from in the Burt’s Bees Solid Perfumes.  The herbal/fruity blend of peach, jasmine, black tea, ylang, and vanilla.  Citrus-floral blend of Brazilian orange, Floridian grapefruit, rose petals, and cedarwood.  Citrusy mix of lemon, grapefruit, and cedarwood.  And the citrus woody floral mix of Italian lemon, sweet pineapple, rose-geranium, and wood.

The fragrances come in an adorable little tin, perfect for an on-the-go refresher.  The one I tried is the peachy herbal/fruity blend.  It is very mild and reminds me of some sort of deliciously fruity drink.  You would never get sick of this light, natural scent.

100% natural, super portable, delightfully scented, and a mere $10 a pop.  What’s not to love?
