5 simple ways to look 5 years younger

I’m not talking long term regimes, or changing the way you eat here. I just wanted to give you some simple ways to bring more youth back into your look and turn the clock back a few years – and all within a few hours…..

Shape your eyebrows – the eyebrows are the frame of the face and it is amazing the difference it makes when you shape them correctly. You will see an instant lift. There are obviously various methods but for me there is only one tool for plucking and that’s a pair of Tweezerman Tweezers. This video will show you how:

Cut and color your hair – if you are looking for a boost in your look then go along to the salon and get a restyle. It’s so easy to keep a similar style for years on end as we are getting older. Maybe it’s time to shake things up a little and bring back some youth. Go to a good stylist and get some advice about faceshape and color.

Go easy with the make-up – foundation, powder, eyeshadow, lipstick used heavily and in a dated fashion can really show age. As a rule of thumb ‘less is more. ‘ Invest in some new products that are subtle and bring a luminous glow to the skin – you’ll be amazed at the difference. A good place to start is by switching to a mineral powder foundation. My favourite is the original Bare Minerals. 100% minerals, no nasties and fantastic results.

Clean up those teeth – OK this one may take a little longer, but it is way up there when showing you age. As we age our teeth become more discolored, if we can bring back the whiteness a little then that all helps with a youthful appearance. It may be worth a trip to the dentist to get a professional clean.

Stand tall – everyone’s image of an old woman is little and bent over. Make sure you are not going towards that by standing up tall, pulling back your shoulders and walking with pride. When you feel good about yourself you will look better and younger……..
