Burning Torch Eco-Fashion Sample Sale in Los Angeles This Weekend!

Friday, May 7th, 10 am to 7 pm, Saturday, May 8th, 10 am to 3 pm

1738 Cordova Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007

Author Susanna Schick is the social media manager for Burning Torch as well as other designers.

Previously featured here on FeelGoodStyle as well as Your Daily Thread and others, Burning Torch has been making gorgeous, high-end recycled pieces since 1999. The entire collection isn’t recycled, but there are some really gorgeous pieces that are. They also use organic cotton whenever feasible. Their studio sales are a lot more fun than most, with a DJ and a relaxed courtyard setting. After the break are some of the recycled dresses you might find at the sale.

The skirt and dress above are made from vintage plaid shirts, and the dress below is made from 1940′s era rayon dresses.

About Susanna Schick

Susanna Schick has been writing for Gas2.0 since 2009 and riding motorcycles since 1985. When not chasing electric motorcycles around the globe, she runs Sustainable Fashion LA, a sustainability & marketing consultancy based in Los Angeles. The intersection between preserving Earth’s finite resources and promoting more meaningful consumption is where her passion lies. When she’s not dreaming up innovative ways to solve the world’s problems, Ms. Schick can be found using her talent for strategy in darting through traffic on her motorcycle, either in the city, nearby canyons or on the racetrack.
