Sweet Riot Dark Chocolate: Because You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile

You may be wondering what chocolate has to do with beauty and fashion. It’s simple: Even the most gorgeous makeover and hottest fashion-forward ensemble won’t look right if you’re all frowny. You’ll also get those pesky little lines between your eyebrows. So what better to turn that frown upside down than an adorable little tin jam packed with adorable, dark chocolate-covered cacao niblets?!

Based out of New York City, Sweet Riot is a small, woman-owned company with a mission: changing the world through ethical and top-quality products in very fun, unique little packages. Their cacao is sourced directly through fair and equal trade with an equally ethical and socially responsible partner in Latin America. They use recyclable, reusable packaging featuring emerging artists (they enter their artwork through Sweet Riot’s own contest), and the chocolate contains 100% natural, healthy ingredients. Oh, and did I mention the niblets contain only 1-2 calories each? Time to smile!

In addition to the tins of chocolate ‘peaces,’ they also offer the unBar: Four squares of delectable dark chocolate with those delicious cacao bits hidden inside. Might I suggest the unBar 65 I snarfed down after lunch today. Both the tins and the unBars come in 3 varieties – 50%, 65%, and 70% – so whether you like your chocolate mild and a bit sweet, intensely dark with a hint of espresso, or something in between, they’ve got your fixx. And I’m not the only fan; their chocolate has been featured on The Today Show, in Good Housekeeping, Women’s Health, InStyle, and Shape (!) magazines, just to name a few.

Finally, a little tip: These tins of goodness make the perfect stocking stuffer.
