As stated in the article, sun protection is serious and should be a part of our daily skin care regimen year round. I am sorry if I did not make that perfectly clear. That said, most (especially those of us with fairer skin tone) tend to get dark spots on our skin as we age no matter how vigilant we are with sun protection. These products and remedies are meant to improve the appearance of spots on a cosmetic level, not reverse or treat sun damage or improve our overall health. Feelgood Style does have a wealth of great articles on sun protection and skin, just search "sun protection". Thanks for your input.

PUHLEEEESE - sun spots are NOT part a beauty regime to be managed. They are potentially deadly!

This is not being alarmist. It is a well known fact - at least here in Austalia - that skin cancer is related to extent of exposure as a younger person and does not necessarily become revealed until deecades later. The many deaths here attest to that. More exposure = greater potential death risk.

School children in our country are not allowed to paly outdoors UNTIL they wear, often a school issue/uniform large hat and are provided with free high factor sunscreen!

FEELGOODSTYLE should post at least a balanced article about sun protection to advise the dangers.

Just look at our <a href="http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDV10450.shtml" rel="nofollow">Bureau of Meteorology<a> forecast for today... part of our lives:
"UV Alert from 9:40 am to 4:30 pm, UV Index predicted to reach 8 [Very High]"

Advise the readers eh!

Nice column, but please remember that the danger of exposure to UV rays continues through the fall and winter. Continue to wear sun protection clothes and sunscreen.
