Indigenous Designs is a fabulous fair-trade, organic clothing company based in Northern California. Since 1994, the founders have been working directly with international artisans in India, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Peru to bring you uniquely sustainable fashion wear. Committed to delivering fair wages, Indigenous Designs works with non-governmental organizations around the world to ensure that the men and women who craft these beautiful garments are set on the path to self-sustainability.
“With Indigenous Designs, we haven’t created just a charity situation,” says co-founder Matt Reynolds. “It’s about taking responsibility to better our communities.”
This Fourth of July, Indigenous Designs and Feelgood Style are giving you the opportunity to win a gorgeous piece of clothing, constructed from all natural and organic fibers and eco-friendly dyes!

I love the Sacred Valley Wrap sweater. The black trim and stripes on the arms give it just enough style without getting overly decorated.
I love the Coverstich Hoody in Sprout! Such great stuff, I’m excited!
Thank you!

My favorite is the Inca Tie Cardigan. I live in a very cold climate & love hand-knit items!

The Sacred Valley tunic is really great and the sleeves appear to be long enough for my too-long arms! I also like the double-layer skirts very much…they would be great on the Chesapeake Bay boating parties.

I had a splendid time browsing through the women’s clothing! Finally, I narrowed my favorites down to the Sacred Valley Tunic. But I love both the Espresso and Black style, yet the Espresso finally won me over. The deep espresso color combined with the earthy red trim creates a slightly exotic, almost another-world feel. It inspires me.

ATTENTION: Indigenous Designs sweaters CONTAIN TOXIC LEAD!!! The lead is in the ‘low impact’ dyes they use! I talked to a sales rep at overstock, com who confirmed that the sweaters bore the warning for the state of California. A google search confirmed that 3 years ago when I almost purchased a bunch of their exquisite looking sweaters. I do have severe lead toxicity so I passed.
