A nice touch is to add is a few drops of essential oils added to the candles on the tables at the reception. This adds not only a bit of scent to the environment, but if you choose the oils correctly, you will find that you can influence the mood at the table! A trick from my Hollywood catering days: uses boxes or stacking trays to create levels on your food tables. Cover with table clothes and drape remnant fabric around the table. This creates interest and drama, and actually makes more room on the table.
