hey great post! i've been eliminating my store-bought beauty products one by one and loving each step. i just wanted to say that i disagree about shampoo and deodorant. for a while i made my own cold-process shampoo bars, which worked well but is definitely a craft that some people might not want to take on. then i read about the "no 'poo" method of just "washing" with baking soda and rinsing with vinegar, only once a week or as needed. now i've been no 'poo for 4 months and my hair looks and feels great. sometimes the ends get dry and a little dab of coconut oil smooths them right out. as for deodorant, count me among those who are happy with plain old baking soda. hmm... now if only i could make my own lipstick and mascara :)
