powder and mixed with water and produce no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Quality and composition of adhesives will vary between manufacturers, so it is recommended by many to remember to check Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from manufacturers. Look for adhesives that are generally OSHA rated as “non-hazardous”, and ideally VOC free.
