Newsflash: Revolution Organics Launches USDA Certified Organic Skincare Line
Making it’s debut at the All Things Organic Expo comes Revolution Organics, a brand new USDA Certified Organic skin/body line fresh out of Canada. “We really wanted to make our products look chic while still maintaining the highest level of organic integrity” says Co-Founder, Melissa Shabinsky. All plastic containers are recyclable and the packaging is made from post consumer recycled content. Their first products including a 22+ uses All Over Body Balm, Skin Creme and Lip Balm are scheduled to launch on Beauty.com October 1st. And that’s not all! Plans to roll out a color collection as well as a bath and body line are in the works and expected to be available later this year through early ‘09.

Like music to my ears…a company who ‘gets it’ and understands the importance of pure ingredients and modern aesthetics! And I like that the packaging is not gender-specific. I haven’t yet seen their comprehensive ingredient listings to ensure I’m a-okay with them, however the USDA Organic Seal ensures the contents are food grade and contain a minimum of 95% organic content. For these reasons I don’t hesitate to let you know about them in advance. And just try Googling them, the word isn’t even out to the masses yet!
Stay tuned for my review of these next month…

Have been using certified skin care organic products from TerrEssentials.com, Pangea Organics.com and Tropical Traditions.com and they are all excellent.
Many companies say they are organic, then you read the ingredients and find they are deceptive.
The companies I have listed above are of excellent quality and have been very satitisfied.
Great to see more are coming aboard!!
Hi Theresa,
I use Pangea too! Haven’t tried Terressentials or Tropical Traditions, but thank you kindly for the recommendations.
I totally agree…many companies (greenwashers) claim to offer “organic” skincare, but still load them to the top with toxics and/or petrochemicals that have no business in an organic product. Or how about companies that include the tiniest amount of organic content and call it so? What has become even comical to me are those others that slap “organic” on the label and you can’t find an organic ingredient in the bunch!
I am looking at a few organic lines because I will be opening up my own small facial business in NJ, I have looked at Suki and SoPhyto (Suki was irritating with my Rosacea-like skin) SoPhyto was agreeable with me. I want a line that is not sold in WholeFoods, Macy’s, etc. I want a more exclusive line with many choices. Any great recommendations??
Thanks! Jen
Hi Jen,
One of my all-time favorite lines is Suki! (But then again I don’t have rosacea). Suki is supposed to be great for sensitive skin, including rosacea. If you’re interested Suki Kramer herself will be in NY next week at an exclusive skincare & cosmetic event at Henri Bendel. If you’d like more info, let me know! You can ask Suki herself what she recommends for rosacea ;). She knows about sensitive skin, she’s allergic to everything including cardboard.
To answer your question, two lines come to mind:
Talulah Skin Care: sold in select spas and on http://www.talulahskincare.com (and only a few online retailers). Totally pure, concentrated line with none of the nasties, packed with high organic content. I love their Geranium Sap Cleanser & Primrose Calming Face serum amongst others!
Saaf Pure Skincare: this line is not widely known in the US (yet!)…not sold in physical stores, just online at http://www.beautorium.com currently. One of the most certified skincare lines in the world. Great for sensitive skin types. My favorite “miracle” product is their Complexion Boosting serum, read more about it here:

If you want to try it out for yourself, get 20% off your Beautorium order with code FGS2008 through 8/31.
Hope it helps
I just sent them a message, I will want samples.
Talulah has sample kits available here:

Unfortunately, Saaf does not currently have sample sizes.
It’s tough I am coming off of Eminence and don’t have the $4,500+ to open an order. And they are more natural as opposed to ogranic I think.
