New Eco-Fashion Mag Hits Newstands This Week
I love flipping through Vogue, Lucky or Elle just as much as the next girl, but have longed for a green version. I’m so excited to learn about the new non-glossy Boho, one of the first fashion mags dedicated to eco-fashion, green decor, beauty, travel and lifestyle. It’s aimed at creative, free-spirited, independent women who love fashion and beauty, but also want to make the world a prettier place by giving back and going green. And it’s printed on 100% post consumer recycled, non-glossy paper with soy-based ink! So how do you you know if you’re a Boho girl?
You know you’re a Boho girl if this describes you:
Free. Radical. Independent. Her style is all her own. It’s personal. Existential.
Her only fear is convention. Her only weakness, shoes. The bump on her nose adds character, the scar on her shoulder adds strength, the curl in her hair adds attitude. There is no such thing as imperfection, just originality.
Unmovable, unshakeable, unstoppable, she is America’s next top role model. Someone both inspired and inspiring.
She embraces her spirituality, aspires to her dreams, lives through her passions.
She is a world changer.
She is bohemian.
She is a boho girl.

This is fantastic! I’ve felt torn between morals and style all my life, and it is thrilling to see so many people not just making an effort to be green and socially-conscious, but talented people who are making design that is no-less beautiful and exciting than the most cutting edge. In fact, being intelligent and caring makes it more beautiful.
Hi Charles & Jeanie,
I got my copy at Borders last week…I couldn’t even wait to get out of the store & enjoyed some iced green tea whilst flipping through the pages. It’s definitely a feel good/look good mag!
I can’t help but add my 10cents worth… I’m annoyed and disappointed with Boho. I’ve had a good look around and a good read and I have to say their beauty product recommendations and fashion are distinctly not what I would recommend as organic, eco or natural. There’s already so much misinformation making it confusing for consumers to cut through to what’s truly, authentically green, I thought they could have done a much more thorough and enlightened job.
I hear you…I was pretty surprised with the Aveeno, Paul Mitchell & Smashbox ads/references in particularly. It is only with reader feedback that they can improve. When can we expect the glossy to launch for which you’ll be the Beauty Editor? I can’t wait to take a look
Mid September … sooooo exciting. It’s going to be online only - at least in the beginning. While we all love reading magazines, sales are down 10% and everyone from Style.com to Martha Stewart are launching online magazine formats. Interesting to see where it all goes…
Wonderful! I look forward to it. I do appreciate the online mags…makes me feel better about not consuming so much paper
