You are right - they aren&#039;t organic, but most of these materials are pre-dyed and cut, and use of pre-consumer remnants prevents an estimated 5 billion pounds of waste from hitting US landfills. 

It&#039;s actually better in some ways than sourcing NEW cotton, organic or not. The hope is that one day, it will all be organic and we won&#039;t have to make that choice. One other think that she does to be responsible is source locally - cutting down on transportation cost and supporting her local and US economy.

I believe that everything is machine washable according to the site - the quality of the linen is very good from what I&#039;ve seen so far. I would just wash gently.
